17th December 2020 Fun Run

The children ran for over 3 hours and raised over £3,400. It was an amazing achievement for all who took part. They showed resilience throughout. Thank you to our school community for raising so much money for the school.

Eco Team - Competition Dec 2020 BIRD FEEDERS

Our school Eco Team judged the school competition and chose 17 winners in total. All the entries were worthy winners, it was very hard to choose! The bird feeders were all very thoughtful and fit for purpose.

This year we celebrated Black History month by learning about modern Black artists, taking part in African dance and exploring and celebrating diversity in the world around us, past, present and learning about how we can help shape the future.

Each class explored the life and artwork of a different artist and throughout the week, created a piece of artwork in the style of their artist. We shared the work with our families in a outdoor exhibition.

Our school library

October 2020

All classes across the school took part in a Willow Workshop. New Art and D.T skills were learnt and the final piece has been installed in the school library. The children have created a wonderful mythical woodland scene.

Our school tree

This September we renamed all the classes after trees that can be found around the school grounds. Everyone made a leaf representing their tree and they have been displayed as one special Wingham tree in our school entrance hall. We used different techniques from salt dough sculptures to sewing.
