Class 6 studied the two artists in terms 1 and 2. Firstly, the Californian artist Jerry Clovis and secondly the St.Lucian artist Michelle Elliot.
Once Year 6 had explored many techniques and mixed media, they worked on canvas to emulate the vibrant colours and style of Michelle Elliot.
This term, we had our survival day with Commando Steve. We learned how to prepare a fish for cooking, built solar ovens out of Pringles tubes and built a leaf shelter in the woods.
In Maths this term, we have studied coordinates. We designed maps based on our book – Kensuke’s Kingdom – and labelled each point with the coordinate.
In Literacy, we have written haikus about Christmas. A haiku is a type of Japanese poem with three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second seven, and the third five.
