In science this term we have been learning about how we hear sound. We created our own models of the ear and labelled the different parts. We conducted an experiment to investigate how volume changes over distance.
In maths we have been learning about decimals. We have placed decimals on place value charts. We have divided 1 and 2 digit numbers by 10 and 100 using place value counters.
In Literacy we wrote and performed our own ‘Wingham Sounds’ poems.
In French we have learnt to ask ‘what is the time?’ and reply to our friends.
This term in art, we have been studying the work of Mark Rothko. We used paint, chalks and pastels to create our own Rothko paintings. After that, we found clever ways to make Rothko inspired pictures! We decorated Rothko biscuits and used materials found in the environment to make Rothko collages. We finished our unit of work by writing some wonderful poems about Rothko’s life.
