Celebration Assembly - Certificates
We have had such an exciting final term. We have continued learning about farming and thinking about the question ‘Does Farming Matter?’. We have also been focusing on animals in our science and English lessons.
One of the highlights of the term was a visit from ‘Creepy Claws’ where we got to meet 6 different animals. We learned all about where they come from, what they eat and then we were allowed to touch them if we wanted to. During a forest school lesson we made our favourite animal using different natural materials that we found. Can you guess what they are?!
We have linked all of our art lessons to pigs, as we very much enjoyed seeing them on our farm visit last term. We produced a colourful piece of art using oil pastels and then we made some models of pigs using clay.
In English we enjoyed reading the story of Handa’s Surprise and we then wrote our own book based on this story. We also explored a range of non-fiction books and then we wrote a factfile about our favourite animal.
In maths we have been learning about some very important things including money, time, position and direction.
It has also been a very active term. During ‘We are the Champions’ week, we had so much fun on the trampolines during a session from ‘Bounce’. We also had a great time with Mrs Andrews learning some funky dance moves on the playground.
What a fantastic end to the year!
