Learning together, we grow kind hearts and healthy minds
The aims of the week are to expand pupil’s understanding of economic wellbeing and to develop enterprise skills, such as; problem solving, financial awareness, critical thinking, teamwork and leadership.
Over the week each class designed and made a product in order to raise money. Each class researched, planned, advertised, produced and ‘sold’ a product. This process encouraged the children to use skills such as: effective communication, creativity and innovation, initiative, organising and planning, leadership and financial literacy. The items were sold on Friday of Enterprise Week.
The class that raised the most money was awarded the enterprise cup.
As part of Enterprise week we invited Ocado Code for Life team to come in and talk about the skills needed to pursue career in a technology based role. They showed us the role technology has form coding, robotic engineering and software engineering.
They the set us a task to create our own robots. Each class would short list a class winner to be entered into th challenge final where the Ocado team would decide the winner of the school.
We had so much fun and came up with so many robot ideas. It was truly inspiring!
