This term has been filled with memorable experiences, exciting opportunities and moments that have inspired Rowan Class to grow in confidence, kindness and curiosity.
As part of our We Are the Champions week, we enjoyed a fantastic visit to Quex Park. Whether we were perfecting our putting on the mini golf course, walking the goats or encouraging one another every step of the way, we discovered that being a champion is about showing resilience, teamwork and believing in ourselves.

During Families Week, we celebrated the people who make our school community so special. Together, we proudly created a whole-school poem that reflects everything we love about Wingham School—our curiosity, creativity, respect, inclusivity and determination. Every child in Rowan class contributed ideas, helping to create a poem that reminds us that we all belong, every voice matters, and together we can achieve amazing things.
When morning sun begins to glow,
To Wingham School we proudly go.
Through every classroom, every door,
We find new things to learn and explore.
We ask big questions, wonder why,
How birds can sing and planes can fly.
We read great stories, count and write,
And fill our minds with pure delight.
Some children paint with colours bright,
Some solve problems with all their might.
Some love music, some love sport,
Some build ideas of every sort.
Though we're different, we all belong,
Together we are kind and strong.
We show respect in all we do,
By listening well and thinking too.
We use kind words, we take our turn,
And help each other learn and learn.
No one stands alone at play,
We welcome everyone each day.
A smile, a wave, a game to share,
Shows every child that someone cares.
Our imaginations lead the way,
Helping us create each day.
We dream, design, invent and make,
Learning from each step we take.
When things are tricky, we don't stop,
We climb each challenge to the top.
We work hard, try our best each day,
And keep on going all the way.
In every lesson, hall and class,
We grow a little as days pass.
Our teachers help us shine and see
The very best that we can be.
For Wingham School is more than a place,
It's a community filled with care and grace.
A place where curiosity lights the way,
And wonder grows a little each day.
A place where respect helps friendships grow,
Where everyone is valued, loved and seen,
For exactly who they've always been.
A place where creativity can soar,
Opening minds to dream and explore.
A place where hard work helps us find
Confidence in heart and mind.
Whether you’re learning, laughing or playing,
These are the values we’ll keep displaying:
Respectful hearts,
Inclusive too,
Creative minds
In all we do.
Hardworking hands,
Ready to try,
With curious thoughts
That reach the sky.
This is our school, where everyone brings
Their own special gifts and wonderful things.
And together we make Wingham shine,
A school we're proud to call ours every time.
Our learning also inspired us to think about the world beyond our classroom. As part of our literacy lessons, we became passionate advocates for the rainforest by writing persuasive letters to Sir David Attenborough. We shared our concerns about deforestation and thanked him for inspiring people across the world to protect wildlife and care for our planet. Our voices may be small, but together we know they have the power to make a big difference. Rowan Class are determined to be the generation that stands up for nature and helps create a brighter, greener future for all.
